A little confused

Postby razametal » Fri Aug 06, 2010 10:29 pm

Hi,

I'm testing crossftp and installed on a debian lenny box.

How can I administer the users of the server running on the Debian box? I'm trying ejecuting crossftpserver.jnlp on my laptop but seems like is trying to setting up a server on my laptop and not the administration of the ftp server on the debian server.

The server is running on debian I used the instructions to run crossftpd as daemon and works fine, I can connect from my laptop to the ftp server but can not administer the users for ftp server use.

Best regards,
razametal

Thanks for your question. The server does not allow remote administration. To admin the server, you need to log on the server's GUI desktop, start the CrossFTP server, and config and see the user information. The log files will help you to know how the server is accessed by various users. The log files are in ~/.crossftpserver by default.
